As January draws to a close we would like to share with you our review of 2016, for BankSearch.  It was, once again, a busy year and above all we are pleased to note our continued success in meeting our founding mission: we remain committed to innovation and strive to use the latest technology to provide our clients with solutions, which best meet their needs.

Whilst 2016 is thought by many to be a bad year, BankSearch continues to be flexible and forward-thinking.  Now in our 17th year of operation we continued to grow through the last economic downturn and have put measures in place to ensure that we are prepared for all eventualities, particularly as we enjoy positive long-term relationships with clients around the world.

Exporting is Great – Department for International Trade

In May, we were delighted to announce that we had been handpicked by the Government as one of the top 65 high growth-potential tech firms in the UK and were invited to join the Department for International Trade’s (DIT) Company Sub Sector Support Program (CSSP), which targets companies who are ready to dramatically boost their growth by increasing their exports.  We are proud to have been selected and are looking forward to all the exciting opportunities that being a part of this program entails.

Central Bank of Barbados

In July, we successfully, and on target, completed the implementation of our Data Capture and Reporting System (DCRS) at the Central Bank of Barbados. Our user-friendly and robust software has enabled the Central Bank of Barbados to significantly improve the efficiency of their processes, eliminate human intervention and facilitates rapid and accurate data collection, analysis and dissemination.  We look forward to continuing to work with the Central Bank of Barbados in the coming years.

Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)

BankSearch also worked extensively with the OECD during 2016 to integrate our online Data Capture System, including a straight-through system to feed data from and into their extensive data warehouse of information, which enhances the data collection pipeline.  We are looking forward to the continuing this exciting project throughout 2017.

Business Start Up Data Service

In the wake of Brexit, BankSearch’s Business Start Up Data Service has proven invaluable to the government, other organisations and the press.  Our data can be used to monitor entrepreneurship throughout the UK and a survey we conducted in July showed the negative impact that a feeling of uncertainty was having on the number of new business starts.  We also updated our systems to utilise the latest Census 2011 data.  If you would like to learn more about BSU please contact us.

Charitable Giving

Every year, during the festive season, BankSearch makes a donation to a charity which is doing great work either close to home or further abroad.  This year we chose to support Shelterbox, a Cornish charity by origin, who provide relief to some of the 85 million people around the world made homeless by natural disaster and conflict.

They provide emergency shelter and tools for families robbed of their homes by disaster, attempting to transform despair into hope.

We hope that you and your families enjoyed the festive period and we wish you peace, good health and happiness in 2017.

All the best from the team at BankSearch.
