2014 has been a busy year of extensive product development at BankSearch.

With a firm ear to the ground and a keen eye on the future we are using our wealth of knowledge and experience to consistently lead the market in straight-through processing systems.

Our principal focus this year has been to listen very closely to our clients’ needs and desires.  We have enjoyed some very informative sessions ranging from a presentation at the Jamaica Bankers Association through to our recent Business Start-Up Data Service User Group Meeting in Westminster, UK.  These are invaluable opportunities to hear how we can work together to solve our clients information needs.

DCS and IADB Enhancements

Some of the exciting enhancements to our Straight-through Processing System: Data Capture and Interactive Database include:

  • Conversation service
  • Cross-period (Historic) validation
  • Submission Approval
  • Data transfer
  • SDMX data transfer
  • Form Schedule Management
  • Upload different file types

SDMX

The Statistical Data and Metadata eXchange (SDMX) initiative fosters standards for the exchange of statistical information and is sponsored by six international organisations including the Bank for International Settlements, European Central Bank, EUROSTAT, IMF, OECD, United Nations and the World Bank.

BankSearch is supporting this initiative.  Our Data Capture System now integrates with and exchanges SDMX data.

Business Start-up Data Service

Subscriptions to our Business Start-up Data Service grow each year, with clients increasingly requesting bespoke reports.  Noting the value of our service one happy customer recently commented:

Thanks for the really useful reports each month – I find the start-up data from BankSearch invaluable in writing reports focussing on the business landscape and start-ups […] particularly as the data is split by sector and ward.

An important improvement to the Business Start-up Data Service is the recent release of the 2011 Census Geographies data by the Office for National Statistics. This has allowed us to update the population, job claimants and other data tables, too.

Applications available on the Cloud

This year, BankSearch also made its applications available on the cloud; meeting the needs of increasingly mobile users and ever more data hungry institutions.

Charitable Giving

With the year drawing to a close, however, we are acutely aware of all those suffering from the spread of the Ebola virus.  We want to help raise awareness of the Ebola outbreak and contribute to the urgent need for funds to help tackle the crisis, so this festive season BankSearch has donated to Unicef’s Ebola Children’s Appeal, which provides much needed care to children affected by the disease. If you can, please donate and spread the word.

As the New Year approaches everyone at BankSearch would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and wish you a happy and healthy Festive Season and a peaceful New Year.  With a whole host of exciting new developments and projects in the pipeline we look forward to working with you in 2015!
