More small businesses started up (+4.1%) in 2009 in Yorkshire than in the previous year. This is against the backdrop of continuing recession.
Patrick Bowes, Chief Economist, Yorkshire Forward said, “despite a challenging economic climate in 2009 it is clearly good news that the regions economy continues to create new businesses."
